Candelight Concerts
Taking place in the rolling Cambridgeshire countryside, the inaugural We Out Here Festival in August 2019 saw A-Live team up with Manchester’s Neuron Pro Audio to provide a site-wide audio solution. A-Live were tasked with providing high-quality sound for an audiophile crowd on a site known for issues with noise licensing during its time as the home of Secret Garden Party.
Giving every stage it’s own voice
To address the previous noise issues, we worked closely with the promoters on a site design that allowed us to control audio direction and reduce noise bleed between stages to almost nothing.
No matter which stage you stood in front of, the sound was clear and powerful, without interference from other stages. This was even true in the site’s most congested central area, where six small stages sat in close proximity alongside a cinema and a live radio stage.
A sound system that spanned the spectrum
Having experienced Danley Sound Labs speakers at a previous event, the promoters chose to deploy the brand exclusively across the WOH site. Their ability to deliver exceptional sound across a wide range of musical styles — from jazz to techno — made them an ideal fit for the festival’s diverse programming.
Danley’s horn-loaded speaker design also worked in tandem with the intelligent site layout, helping to reduce off-site noise readings to levels not previously achieved.
Oh my gosh – I’ve never had so many artists run after me to thank me about the sound! From Randal to Matthew Herbert it was crisp and powerful… Dwight Trible just called it ‘futuristic’. How can so much sound come from so little!
